MK company wins lucrative contract to fit out Alpha Club
New luxury private member’s club gives its first business boost to MK

Local building and contractors firm Sol Services Ltd have won a lucrative contract to fit out the new private member’s club opening in MK very soon.
The Alpha Club will be opening its doors later this year, and promises to be the first venue of its kind in the Milton Keynes area, offering an exclusive hub for networking, entertaining and doing business for its members.

The choice of a local contractor for the work is a taste of what’s to come.

The club is soon to be creating many further job roles for local people in the venue’s luxury restaurant and bar, overseen by an elite team from the world of fine dining and hospitality, including twice Michelin starred chef Adam Simmonds.
Sol Services MD Nigel Burdett fought off stiff competition to be awarded the Alpha Club contract, and as a club member already himself, is optimistic about the benefits the club will bring for local businesses. “I first heard about the tender simply by already being connected with the Alpha Club,” he said. “I’d say for local businesses, being part of a club like this of like-minded professionals is a really great way to increase your network. It’s not just about the direct new business opportunity of this contract for us, but also the people and businesses you meet through the club network who can help you, both personally and on a business level. It’s been great for Sol Services.” Sol Services Ltd, who have 52 full time staff, will also be working with many other local contractors and suppliers during the 12-week duration of the build, in a further boost to the area’s economy.

The venue itself promises to keep MK on the map as a first class city for business opportunities. Local firms are optimistic on the impact such a venue will have on the city. “Milton Keynes has been crying out for a venue like this for a while now,” said Nigel. “It’s great to see MK chosen as the first city outside of London for such a prestigious club, and it should create great opportunities for other local businesses too.”
